Heritage Home Healthcare

Bringing Quality Care Home

Shawn Ricketts

Chief Financial Officer

Shawn joined Heritage Home Healthcare and Hospice in 2011 and is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for all business units and locations.   He is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations.  As CFO, he provides strategic leadership in the administrative, business planning, accounting, information systems and budgeting efforts of the company.  Prior to the role of CFO, Shawn was the Controller of Heritage for two years.  As Heritage’s Controller, he helped to centralize and streamline processes in his areas of responsibility which include accounting, billing and payroll. He was promoted to CFO in February of 2013.

Before joining Heritage, Shawn had extensive accounting and management experience with two (2) international manufacturing companies.  Most recently, Shawn was with Schott Solar, Inc. as their Controller.  During his tenure, he was part of the start-up activities.  He also played an integral part in a divestiture and the splitting of one legal entity into two disparate legal entities. Through his experienced leadership at Schott, he was able to streamline processes and implement procedures for monitoring product costing.  Shawn was also the Assistant Controller and the Strategic Analyst at HEEL, Inc., where he was one of six employees worldwide selected to participate in their Young Talent Development Program.

Shawn’s prior experience has translated well into his role as CFO at Heritage. Although the home healthcare industry is very different from the manufacturing environment, the principles of accounting and business management translate and are applicable.

Shawn graduated with a Bachelor’s of Accountancy (BBA) from New Mexico State University; he also has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in International Business from the University of New Mexico.  Additionally, Shawn is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Shawn’s interests outside of work include riding motorcycles with his wife JiSan and snow skiing.

“Although I am not directly involved in the delivery of care, I feel very blessed to be part of an organization that is focused on the well-being of our patients and clients. It is a great feeling to know that I am working for a company that has the health and well-being of our customers as its primary focus.”
